Balance Sheet/Trial Balance And Accounts Receivable (Debtors, A/R) Ageing Reports Don’T Agree.

This article refers to QuickBooks Online

The Balance Sheet / Trial Balance reports will not match an Accounts Receivable (Debtors, A/R) Ageing report when there are customer payments against invoices dated before the report date.

The A/R (Accounts Receivable, Debtors Account) Ageing report defaults to "Current, " which excludes all payments received from the A/R total. In contrast, the Balance Sheet / Trial Balance excludes only the amounts of payments received on or before the date of the report. The A/R Ageing report and other A/R (Accounts Receivable, Debtors Account) detail reports do not pull invoices with a status of "Paid."

The Balance Sheet / Trial Balance is correct. The detail reports are also correct because the bill is no longer open.
