The Odoo DeepL Integration module enhances Odoo by enabling fast, accurate, and automated translation across multiple languages. It allows users to translate selected records from list or form view using DeepL’s neural translation engine, supporting bulk processing and background translation through asynchronous queue jobs. This module ensures multilingual readiness without manual copy–paste or spreadsheet-based translation management.

Designed to improve usability, the module introduces a Translate button directly in both form and list views, allowing users to trigger translations instantly without navigating through multiple menus. Once selected, an interactive translation wizard guides users in choosing target languages, ensuring translations are intentional and controlled. For performance efficiency, all translation operations run in the background via queue jobs, so the interface remains responsive even when translating large datasets. This is particularly valuable for businesses managing extensive product catalogs, website pages, or knowledge base content.

The module supports bulk translation, enabling hundreds of records to be processed in a single action. It intelligently detects all translatable fields automatically, including char, text, HTML, selection fields, and even one-to-many related fields up to one level. Non-text fields such as many2one or many2many relations are safely ignored, preventing data integrity issues. DeepL’s automatic source language detection further simplifies the workflow and improves translation quality.

For multi-company environments, each company can configure its own API key, ensuring proper usage separation. Role-based access control restricts translation permissions to authorized users only. The module also supports custom and Studio-created fields, making it fully compatible with extended Odoo implementations and diverse business requirements.
